On April 28, faculty and staff of the College of Health Professions and Sciences gathered to celebrate another successful academic year and highlight outstanding service and performance. The ceremony featured the 2026 Staff Awards, which recognized the following staff members for, their exceptional contributions.

Employee of the Year Award
Christina Grosso, Simulation Technology Specialist, Dean’s Office
Grosso serves in the Rehabilitation Innovation Center, managing complex simulations with efficiency, adaptability, and high-quality results. Her technical expertise and initiative ensures simulated medical environments are realistic, reliable, and aligned with educational goals. Additionally, her collaborative approach and willingness to support faculty and colleagues continuously strengthens operations and student learning.

Extra Mile Award
Adriana Kelly, Assistant Director of Student Resources, School of Social Work
Supporting more than 400 online Master of Social Work students across the country, Kelly meets each student with patience, warmth, and a calm, solutions-focused approach. As a proactive problem solver, she serves as a reliable partner to faculty and staff, keeping teams grounded and connected.

Excellence in Teamwork Award

Grosso, Genova, and Vanderwolf work side by side in the Rehabilitation Innovation Center to bring ideas to life by turning instructional goals into meaningful, immersive, hands-on experiences. From clinical simulations and escape rooms to home assessments and interactive diagnostic experiences, their work supports and elevates innovation across the college. Together, they’ve contributed to more than 40 faculty and student-facing experiences this year alone.

Excellence in Customer Service Award
Aimmy De Jesus Rodriguez, Finance/Budget Analyst II, Deans Office
Rodriguez consistently supports faculty and staff with patience, problem-solving, and empathy, whether navigating complex concerns or guiding someone through a simple request. She leads every interaction with professionalism, care, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Rookie of the Year Award
Kaileigh Anne Tayek, Program Manager II, Center for Autism and Related Disabilities
Tayek has created a lasting impact by expanding community partnerships and developing innovative programs that enhance service delivery to the thousands of Central Florida families supported by the UCF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities. Tayek’s optimism and energy inspire those around her, while her proactive approach and dedicated forward thinking have elevated the unit’s reach and quality of its services.
