2025-2026 ADVANCE

UCF College of Health Professions and Sciences

This year, the College of Health Professions and Sciences celebrated milestones that reflect both our momentum and our mission. Our nationally ranked physical therapy and speech-language pathology programs reached new heights, while students experienced transformative experiences in our classrooms, clinics and community.

Faculty advanced research with real-world impact—from improving cancer survivorship and expanding assistive technologies to exploring AI, robotics and innovative approaches to healthy aging. We strengthened our commitment to community through initiatives like the launch of the UCF Mobile Health Clinic, which brings free, high-quality healthcare directly to communities that need it most.

These accomplishments are possible because of the dedication of our students, faculty, staff, alumni and partners. Together, we are transforming healthcare and improving lives every day. We’re grateful you’re part of our journey.

Sincerely,

Matthew Theriot

Annual Alumni Celebration

Alumni, faculty, staff and friends gathered at the Innovation Gateway on Feb. 5 for our 2nd Annual Alumni Celebration. Attendees “beamed” into our hologram machine, explored our immersive simulation suite, and stepped inside our new anechoic chamber while connecting with old and new friends and enjoying food, signature cocktails and entertainment.

The well-attended event included tours of the Rehabilitation Innovation Center, the Communication Technologies Research Center, the Aphasia House, the FAAST Center and the Mobile Health Clinic. Guests had a firsthand look at some of our innovative technology and the transformational spaces used for teaching, research, clinical practice and community service.
