The College of Health Professions and Sciences welcomes Eric Brewington as its new finance/budget director. A long-time member of the UCF community, he brings more than 15 years of experience in higher education budgeting, forecasting, and compliance, with a strong track record of managing complex financial operations across academic and research environments.
Brewington most recently served as finance/budget manager in the Finance Business Center at the UCF College of Nursing, where he oversaw day-to-day financial operations and supported strategic fiscal planning across multiple funding sources. Brewington also previously held several positions within UCF’s College of Community Innovation and Education, where he managed multimillion-dollar budgets, supported sponsored research initiatives and strengthened compliance frameworks.
He brings extensive experience in human resources operations, having led teams and advised leadership on workforce strategy and organizational planning.
In his new role at CHPS, Brewington will collaborate with college leadership to guide financial strategy, develop forecasts and support data-informed decision-making that aligns with the college’s mission.
“I am particularly drawn to this position because it integrates strategic financial decision-making and leadership across the academic landscape,” Brewington says. “I look forward to supporting the college’s continued success and fiscal strength.”
Brewington holds a bachelor’s degree in general business with a minor in accounting from UCF.
He is married to his wife, Priscilla, a double alumna who earned both her undergraduate and master’s degrees in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program.
