Kinesiology is the scientific study of the mechanics of human movement to improve function and performance as it relates to human health and wellness. It encompasses in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.

Graduates with a degree in Kinesiology go on to careers in a broad array of fields where optimal health and wellness are the goal. This includes medicine and clinical healthcare, research and academia, sports and fitness, and sports management.  According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the employment outlook is projected to grow 10% from 2018 to 2028, faster than the average for all occupations.
