Eight students from the Division of Physical Therapy volunteered their time and efforts by participating in the 2021 Central Florida Walk to Defeat ALS in early March.

Megan Cundiff, Rebecca Wood, Rooine Sondossi, Karen Starnes, Nadia Aranas, Chloe Artrip, Christina Speranza and Santi Salazar  worked tirelessly throughout the day in order to ensure the first Car Parade fundraiser in Florida was a success.  Families and caregivers were able to gather in a safe manner so they could be provided support to those who are battling this disease.

“I know the University of Central Florida demands excellence from its students,” said Ray Carson, president and CEO of the ALS Association, Florida Chapter. “I want to assure you that the eight students who helped the Florida Chapter clearly have embraced that challenge and are working to make this world a better place by supporting the nonprofit community. There is no way we would have been as successful without their involvement.”
