An alumna from the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders has been named one of 25 of UCF’s fastest growing alumni-led companies.

Shelby Roemer ’08 is the founder of I’m All Ears, LLC, a private practice in Rockledge that provides audiological services, including hearing testing and hearing aid fittings. Roemer, who earned a Doctor of Audiology at Nova Southeastern University, says that a career in audiology is her “calling and passion.”

According to Roemer, the communication sciences and disorders program gave her the confidence to become an entrepreneur by helping her develop organizational and problem-solving skills through the curriculum’s interdisciplinary experiences. Roemer (then Campbell) was also selected for the inaugural class of UCF’s 30 Under 30 Awards, which honors the achievements of successful Knights.

“The mantra of Ever Upward is where I strive to live. It reminds me of how I arrived here in the first place,” Roemer says. “The sky is the limit as long as you keep moving forward and upward. I also know that the amount of lives I can have an impact on is endless.”

UCF Ever Upward is an annual competition, by UCF Alumni, that highlights fast-growing businesses that are owned or led by alumni from around the world.

Alumni-run companies considered for Ever Upward recognition are ranked by the percentage of cumulative annual growth over a consecutive three-year reporting period.
