About 60 students from UF College of Pharmacy, UCF College of Medicine, College of Nursing and the Physical Therapy Program gathered on Saturday for the fourth annual Teamwork Makes the Dream Work Summit.

The student-led event aims to help students develop their interprofessional skills, meaning they get a chance to learn about each other’s roles before they enter the real world.

“It’s not that we’re clueless about other professions,” said Nrec Dedaj, a second year student at UF College of Pharmacy at Lake Nona, who helped organize the event. “It’s just that our curricula are mainly geared toward [our profession], so it’s helpful to be around the nurses and physical therapists and see the wealth of knowledge they have and what they can contribute to the team.”
