The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) has recognized Residency Director, DPT Morris “Rick” Beato, with the APTA Lucy Blair Outstanding Service Award on July 21, at the APTA Leadership Congress in Kansas City, MO. The Lucy Blair Service Award acknowledges and honors physical therapists whose contributions to the association, at both the national and component levels, have been of exceptional value and impact.
Beato was previously recognized with the Distinguished Mentor in Residency and Fellowship Education Award by the APTA Academy of Physical Therapy Education, Award for Excellence in Academic Teaching by the Florida Physical Therapy Association and Excellence in Neurologic Education Award by the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy. This is Beato’s second national professional service award after the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) where he was recognized with the FSBPT Outstanding Service Award.
