Uzair Hammad Presents with Neurologic Experts at Physical Therapy State Conference

Uzair Hammad, PT, DPT, the current resident of the University of Central Florida – Orlando Health Neurologic Residency Program, co-presented virtually with other neurologic physical therapy experts at the Florida Physical Therapy Association’s Annual Conference and Assembly of Representatives held on September 24, 2021. Hammad discussed evidence-based physical therapy interventions for patients with cerebellar disorders.

Other co-presenters included Rick Beato of the University of Central Florida’s School of Kinesiology and Physical Therapy, Jeannie Stephenson of the University of South Florida’s Health School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, and Arvie Vitente of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.  The presentation included a discussion of the anatomy and function of the cerebellum, the different conditions affecting the cerebellum, and assessment and management of cerebellar disorders incorporating the latest available evidence.
