Berry and Beato Present In Brazil on Neurologic Outcome Measures

UCF and Orlando Health’s past neurologic resident, Oliva Berry, and residency director, Morris “Rick” Beato presented virtually on March 3, 2021, as part of the International Physiotherapy Lecture Series by UDC Centro Universitario in Iguazu Falls, Brazil. The neurologic physical therapy residency team presented on the implementation of outcome measures based on the Core Set of Outcome Measures for Adults with Neurologic Conditions Clinical Practice Guideline from the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy.

Berry finished her neurologic residency program last year and is this year’s recipient of the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy’s Early Career Professional Award. Beato is the new Item Review Coordinator of the Neurologic Specialty Council and is the past Chair of the Geriatric Specialty Council of the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Beato has previously presented on the topic of Parkinson’s Disease Rehabilitation and was the Keynote Speaker for the 2018 International Physiotherapy Congress.
