Beato Earns National Distinguished Physical Therapy Educator Honor

Clinical Associate Professor and Neurologic Residency Director Morris “Rick” Beato, was presented with the Distinguished Educator in Physical Therapist Education Award by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Academy of Education. The award was presented on Feb. 13, at the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting in Anaheim, California.

The recognition adds to an already distinguished list of honors for Beato, who has built a reputation as an exceptional educator in the field of neurologic physical therapy. He has previously received the Distinguished Mentor in Residency and Fellowship Education from the Academy of Physical Therapy Education, the Award for Excellence in Academic Teaching from the Florida Physical Therapy Association, the Excellence in Neurologic Education Award from the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy, and the Outstanding Neurologic Physical Therapist in Education Award from the Florida Physical Therapy Association Neurology Special Interest Group.

The APTA Academy of Education’s Distinguished Educator Award is presented to physical therapy educators who have made a significant and lasting impact on the profession through their commitment to teaching, mentorship, and advancing the field of physical therapist education.
