Study on Improving US Addiction Treatment System

Purpose of the study
The purpose of this research is to understand how people with lived experience accessing the addiction treatment system in the US believe the system should be designed

Why am I invited to take part in this study?
You are invited to take part in this study because you have sought and received treatment for substance use disorders in the United States within the past 10 years and have knowledge of the substance use disorder treatment system. We would like to learn from your experiences and perspectives about how the substance use disorder treatment system could be designed to be more person-centered and better meet the needs of individuals seeking care.

How long will the research last and what will I need to do?
You will be invited to participate in a 30-minute telephone interview. The interview will be audio-recorded with your consent. You will be offered a $25 electronic Amazon gift card after completing the interview

Inclusion Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must speak English
  • Must have received addiction treatment in the US during the last 10 years
