Reliability of a 3-Minute Critical Power Test During Arm-Cranking
Participants will perform multiple trials of upper-body cycling to determine the reliability of a shorter testing method used to estimate critical power.
Inclusion Qualifications:
- Men between the ages of 18 and 35
- Free of any physical limitations as determined by a physical activity readiness questionnaire (PAR-Q+).
- Able to perform high-intensity physical activity
- Recreationally Trained (Participates in moderate intensity aerobic and resistance training activities at least two times a week for a total of 80 minutes)
Exclusion Qualifications:
You may not participate in this research opportunity if any of the following applies to you:- Recent musculoskeletal injuries or surgeries
- Any chronic illness that requires continuous medical care
- Cognitive impairment or inability to provide consent
- Present or past use of performance-enhancing drugs
