Hearing in Noise
The following is a short summary of this study to help you decide whether or not to be a part of this study
We invite you to take part in a research study because:
- You are 18 years old or older
- English is your primary language
- You have no known history of hearing loss, but may struggle hearing when there is background noise
- You have no known history of neurological disorder (stroke, for example) or head trauma (concussion, for example)
Some study visits will include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). You must be determined eligible to participate in the MRI based on the MRI screening form, which you will be asked to complete both on your first visit and again just before the MRI is to be completed.
This research is being done to better understand the relationship between activity in the brain and the ability to hear in the presence of background noise.
