As part of Research Week, students from the School of Kinesiology and Physical Therapy showcased their research in exercise physiology and rehabilitation. The research spans five academic programs, and includes 38 student abstracts written by 74 student authors. This is a new record of student participation for SKPT in the UCF Research Symposium.

Three groups received Research Presentation Awards:

  • Shannon Fitzpatrick, Coral Roorda, Megan Lang: Examining PT Services in Children and Young Adults with Down Syndrome
  • Jeremy Wydra, Allie Mann, Jacob Gilbert: EMG Amplitude During Fatiguing Low-Load Versus High-Load Biceps Curls
  • Samantha Viana, Vicki Roach, Chandler Shirley: Examining the Effects of Amplitude-Based Training on an Individual with Olivopontocerebellar Atrophy
