Students that plan to walk in the Graduation Ceremony must have completed an Intent to Graduate (ITG) form by the deadline during their graduating semester. Students who have not completed an ITG or who completed an ITG, but still have remaining program requirements will not be allowed to walk in the graduation ceremony.

Students that are unable to attend the ceremony during their graduating semester, can email [email protected] to request an ITG to walk the subsequent semester.

How to File Your Intent to Graduate

Students can file their Intent to Graduate form online through myUCF and selecting the Student Self Service link, and then selecting the “other academic” drop down box, and clicking on Intent to Graduate: Apply.

  • Students must complete the entire Intent to Graduate process
  • Students should allow 20-30 minutes to fill out the Intent to Graduate form and the UCF Graduating Senior surveys

A Few Reminders to Help You Graduate on Time

*** Students MAY NOT be transient (take courses at another institution) or plan to receive CLEP credit during their graduating term. Please plan accordingly.

*** Students MUST report all credit attempted or earned prior to completing a baccalaureate degree. If a student has attempted or earned credit from another institution that does not yet appear in your UCF record, the student must request all transcripts be sent to the UCF Registrar’s Office as soon as possible. An In Progress (IP) grade will prevent graduation.

*** Do NOT register for any semesters after your graduating semester unless you have been accepted as a graduate Non-Degree or Second Degree Seeker. Information about this process is located at https://www.ucf.edu/admissions/undergraduate/transient-non-degree/.

If you have questions, we encourage you to email us at [email protected]

Students that need to withdraw their Intent to Graduate should email [email protected]

Check Your Knight’s Email

It is important to check your Knightsmail before, during, and after commencement, as this is when we will be certifying your degree.  If there are any concerns regarding your graduation status, the Graduation Coordinator will communicate with you about the intent to graduate process.
