Isotonic vs Isokinetic Leg Extensions: Differences in Neuromuscular Function

Inclusion Qualifications:

  • Female between the ages of 18 to 35
  • Trained or untrained individuals
  • Trained individuals are defined as: meeting the ACSM standards for recreationally active individuals of exercising ≥ 150 minutes exercise/week.
  • Willing to come in for all testing visits
  • No known cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, muscular, and/or coronary heart disease
  • Do not regularly use prescription medication (not including contraceptives)
  • Are not currently seeking medical care
  • Are not currently pregnant

Low back pain and disability in active population

Athletic Training, Exercise Physiology & Rehabilitation Science Deadline: Jun 25, 2022 None

Inclusion Qualifications:

  • You must be 18-35 years of age
  • Have current low back pain (pain on your back between bottom of ribcage and upper thigh)
  • Have been physically active prior to low back pain or still be physically active

Neuromuscular Attributes during Deadlift Variations in Individuals with Acute, Nonspecific Low Back Pain: A Pilot Study

Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, Exercise Physiology & Rehabilitation Science Deadline: May 3, 2022 Paid

Inclusion Qualifications:

  • Men and women between 18-35 years of age
  • Resistance training experience (minimum of 2 sessions per week for past year)
  • Presence of acute, nonspecific low back pain (***not a requirement, as individuals that only meet the first 2 criteria are also eligible***)
