Pain Sensitivity in Adults Following Lower Extremity Musculoskeletal Surgery

This research is being conducted in order to examine the pain experience of adults aged 18 and older who have recently had lower extremity musculoskeletal surgery. By expanding the knowledge of how psychological factors and quality of sleep affects an individual’s sensitivity to pain following surgery, we aim to better inform healthcare providers and improve overall treatment and care that recognizes the whole individual.

Inclusion Qualifications:

  • Adults aged 18 years and older,
  • Had lower extremity musculoskeletal surgery within the previous 6 months.

Exclusion Qualifications:

You may not participate in this research opportunity if any of the following applies to you:
  • Non-musculoskeletal surgery
  • Pregnancy
  • Non-English speaking
