As a fellow UCF alumnus, Cameron is excited to bring his eight years of grant and contract management experience to CHPS. For five years, Cameron was the Executive Director of a statewide mental health and substance use recovery advocacy organization where he focused on securing funding and fostering meaningful partnerships in the community to transform Florida’s behavioral health system. Cameron is experienced in nonprofit management with a passion for grant administration. In his time as an Executive Director, he successfully secured Federal grant funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), with two grants totaling over $1 million. He also managed state contracts under the Department of Children and Families (DCF) providing peer recovery training, events, and education to thousands of individuals across Florida.
