The UCF and Orlando Health neurologic and sports residents presented their case studies during the Florida Physical Therapy Association’s (FPTA) Annual Conference and Assembly of Representatives at the Caribe Royale on Sept. 26. Neurologic residents Gabriela Rodriguez and Sarah McLennan along with sports residents Tsianna Barnwell and Alvaro Zapata, were chosen to present in this year’s FPTA residency case study presentations.
Rodriguez presented her case study “Fast But Not Furious: Streamlining Concussion Management Without Sacrificing Safety,” while McLennan presented her case study “Early Mobility in the Neurologic ICU Following Neurosurgical Intervention For Bilateral Subdural Hematoma.” Gabriela also presented a research poster titled “Assessing the Effectiveness of a Bodyweight Supported Harness Cafe Program in Chronic Stroke Recovery: A Case Study.”
