Recent UCF and Orlando Health neurologic residency graduate Emma Scammon presented on the physical therapy management of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy. Scammon presented with neurologic residency faculty Lauren Porteous, Logan Brown, and Morris “Rick” Beato, as well as neurologic rehabilitation expert Jamie Dyson from Graceland University. The five presented on Sept. 28, at the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA) Annual Conference and Assembly of Representatives in Orlando, Fla.
Scammon also presented two residency research posters: “Physical Therapy Outcomes in a Patient with Acute Wallenberg Syndrome” and “Outcomes Following High Intensity Gait Training in a Patient with Subacute Medial Medullary Syndrome.”
