The Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute neurologic residency faculty team was awarded a grant from the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation. The goal of the proposed project is to provide a hybrid of virtual and in-person adaptive fitness opportunities to individuals with spinal cord injury in Central Florida. The team plans on hosting online adaptive fitness sessions and challenges for individuals with SCI who are at home and providing participants with simple, at-home fitness items for exercise. The team is also planning to host a variety of in-person classes for survivors of SCI.
