Benjamin Porcha-Konjikušić is a master’s student in kinesiology in the Human Performance track and a graduate assistant in the Kinesiology Teaching Lab, under Clinical Associate Professor Sarah Fretti. He earned his Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from Anderson University, where he developed experience in exercise physiology, biomechanics, strength and conditioning, and applied research. As an undergraduate, Porcha-Konjikušić co-led a study examining the impact of hydration on isometric force output during a squat exercise using force plates and physiological performance measures. He also helped establish and lead Anderson University’s Exercise is Medicine initiative, an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)-aligned program promoting physical activity and wellness on campus. His research interests include human performance, strength and power development, neuromuscular fatigue, hydration strategies, athlete monitoring, and applied sport science. Porcha-Konjikušić is also a former collegiate club volleyball athlete. He hopes to continue developing his expertise in applied human performance research and contribute to the education and development of future kinesiology professionals and professional athletes.
