  • Currently enrolled at UCF as an undergraduate or graduate student
  • Identifies as Muslim-American
  • Will voluntary fast on Thursday

Physical activity and biobehavioral patterns across the menstrual cycle

Inclusion Qualifications:

We invite you to take part in a research study if you are:

  • Female sex between 18-40 years old
  • Premenopausal with a regular menstrual cycle between 25-35 days and have tracked your menstrual cycle consistently for at least the past three months.
  • Willing to wear a Garmin activity tracker device daily including during sleep
  • Own a smartphone with the ability to track and sync data via a mobile app
  • Not be pregnant, less than 12 months postpartum, or breastfeeding

Additional criteria will be evaluated using an online screener

Brain-muscle communication after ACL injury

Inclusion Qualifications:

Inclusion criteria – ACL group:

  • Age 18-35 years
  • History of primary unilateral ACL reconstruction (ACLR) within last 2 years
  • No history of any lower limb surgery besides the current ACLR
  • Medical clearance to initiate jogging

Inclusion criteria – Uninjured group:

  • Age 18-35 years
  • No history of lower extremity surgery
  • No history of lower extremity injury (defined as seeking medical attention) within last 2 years

Core Musculature and Balance of Dancers

  • At least 14 years old
    • Individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent
  • Have at least 3 years of ballet experience
  • Currently practice dance technique
    • At least 1 hour per week over the past 6 months
  • Are familiar with basic ballet terminology
