Day-to-Day Reliability and Validity of the Fit3D System

The purpose of this study is to investigate the day-to-day reliability and validity of the Fit3D body composition analyzer against criterion methods of obtaining anthropometric data such as the BodPod and InBody bioelectrical impedance. This study will attempt to provide insight into the relatively newer optical scan technology that the Fit3D utilizes.

Inclusion Qualifications:

  • Participant has been informed of the study procedures and signs forms providing informed consent to participate in the study.
  • Heathy individuals between the ages of 18-75 years old
  • Healthy as determined by the PAR-Q+ and MHQ.
  • Participants who report using oral contraceptives or intrauterine devices are permitted (determined by MSQ).
  • Are not pregnant and do not intend to become pregnant.
  • Willing to adhere to all pre-testing visit instructions including fasting for at least 4 hours and abstaining from exercise, alcohol, and caffeine for at least 24 hours prior to each testing visit.

Exclusion Qualifications:

You may not participate in this research opportunity if any of the following applies to you:
  • Individual does not provide consent to participate in this study.
  • Deemed unfit to participate in the study protocols via the PAR-Q+, MHQ, and/or the MSQ.
  • Regularly taking any type of prescription or over-the-counter medication which might affect the assessments, or having any chronic illnesses, which require medical care.
  • Current known pregnancy or intend to become pregnant during the study period.
