Beato Appointed to National Residency Task Forces, Chairs Neurologic Board Specialty

UCF and Orlando Health Neurologic Residency Director Morris “Rick” Beato, PT, DPT, GCS, NCS was appointed to several task forces involving the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) residency and board specialization. Dr. Beato was nominated by the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy to represent the neurology academy to the APTA Future of Specialization Reactor Panel. He was also appointed to represent the neurologic specialty and neurologic residencies in the APTA Resident Entrustable Professional Activities (EPA) Work Group.

After previously serving as the chair of Geriatric Board Specialty Council, Dr. Beato is now the chair of the Neurologic Board Specialty Council of the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is a member of the Neurologic Description of Specialty and Residency Practice Task Force that will revalidate neurologic physical therapy specialty and residency practice.
