Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking UCF College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) students who are:

In at least your second year at UCF and currently enrolled in a CHPS program as an undergraduate or graduate student. CHPS programs are Health Sciences, Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, Social Work, and Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Excited to share how your personal student experience is preparing you for a career in the health and wellness field.
Comfortable being on camera and experienced in preparing content for social media, in particular for Instagram.
Love all things black and gold and are interested in showcasing the technology, research, innovative programs and student experiences offered at CHPS.

What We’ll Ask

Participate in one virtual meeting per semester to discuss content strategy and brainstorm ideas with the CHPS Communications Team and other ambassadors.
At least twice per semester: create original content highlighting your experience at CHPS. We’ll share specific events and requests, as well as work with you to develop new ideas.
Assist as needed (and as your schedule permits) with occasional scripted video production, when we’re looking for a student voice or need student models for a photo shoot. These don’t happen regularly or often, but we’d like to give ambassadors first option to help out when we create key marketing pieces.
Throughout the year, be accessible through a Teams group to respond with your availability for these opportunities and to share feedback as needed.

A CHPS Social Media Ambassador is a student who represents the College of Health Professions and Sciences on social media by sharing their academic journey, research, clinical and internship experiences, and campus life. Ambassadors create content, engage with the college’s faculty, staff and students, and help promote CHPS events and initiatives.

Any current UCF CHPS undergraduate or graduate student who is in at least their second year at UCF and has a passion for sharing their academic journey while gaining unique professional experience can apply! Some social media experience is required, but the most important attribute is enthusiasm and creativity, and we’ll work with you to get content ready for posting, as needed.

The program is very flexible! We estimate the time involved will be no more than 2–3 hours per month, including content capture and creation, attending meetings, and staying in touch with the CHPS Communications Team. You can tailor your involvement to fit your schedule throughout the semester.

You’ll be creating content that will be shared by the CHPS Communications Team on the college’s social media channels, which include Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and X. Student ambassadors will not be making direct posts on channels (except during designated takeover events). Ambassadors will be identified in the content, and will be able to share the content with their audiences; however, CHPS is not able to tag or collaborate with personal accounts.

No! We’re looking for authentic voices, not follower counts. Whether you’re a social media pro or just getting started, we’d love to hear from you.
Absolutely! This is a leadership and professional development opportunity. You’ll gain digital marketing and public relations experience, expand your network, and earn credentials to showcase.
Selected ambassadors will be asked to serve for at least one academic year but will be encouraged to stay in the program through graduation.
