Therese Coleman is a licensed/certified Speech/Language Pathologist. She works as an Associate Instructor in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Health Professions and Sciences.
Therese obtained her B.S. degree in Special Education at the University of West Florida. She was employed for several years as a parent-infant educator working with families of infants identified as high risk for developmental delay. Therese earned her M.A. degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Central Florida.
Therese has over 30 years of extensive experience providing pediatric speech and language intervention in many different settings including the public school system, private therapy clinics, outpatient hospital therapy, home health care, and home health private practice. During this time, she additionally taught speech and language classes at UCF as an adjunct instructor.
After many years of clinical practice, Therese became a full-time instructor at the UCF. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate students in the areas of child language development, articulation, phonology, and phonetics.
