Bethany Coz is an Instructor in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Central Florida. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Health Studies from The University of Alabama and is also distinguished as a Master Certified Health Education Specialist by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing.
As an educator, Coz served as an adjunct instructor at The University of Tampa in the Health Sciences and Human Performance Department and AdventHealth University in the Department of Health and Biomedical Sciences. Her professional background includes over twenty years of work throughout the public health sector in areas like a county health department, non-profits funded by the Florida Department of Health, as well as a large hospital system. These opportunities allowed her to focus on addressing vital community health topics such as chronic disease, tobacco cessation, worksite wellness, and various aspects of population health.
