Jeremy Wydra is a doctoral student in Kinesiology under the mentorship of Dr. Meredith Chaput in the Cognition, Neuroplasticity, and Sarcopenia (CNS) Laboratory. His research focuses on physiological assessments of brain plasticity and clinical assessments of altered neural strategies in physical performance following anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. His current projects include tracking eye movement during functional dual-task performance and examining brain activity during graded difficulty dual-tasks.
Jeremy holds a B.H.Sc. and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from UCF. As a graduate of a sports physical therapy residency program, he has worked with Orlando City and Orlando Pride Soccer Clubs, Orlando Ballet, USA Track and Field, and UCF Athletics. He also has strength and conditioning experience in collegiate athletics and the private sector.
He has presented at international, national, regional, and state conferences. Jeremy regularly serves as a guest lecturer for physical therapy graduate programs and has also presented to athletic training graduate students, sports residency curricula, undergraduate courses, and high school classes. In addition, he serves as a mentor for sports physical therapy residents and doctoral students in physical therapy. Jeremy continues his clinical practice as a Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist, focusing on post-operative and sports-related injury rehabilitation.
