Emily Parsowith is a graduate student pursuing a masters in Kinesiology at the University of Central Florida. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Exercise Science with a minor in neuroscience from the University of South Carolina. Emily is currently working on her thesis project in the CNS lab under the mentorship of Dr. Matt Stock, characterizing the effect of aging and chronic pain on muscular function and pain modulation. Emily’s research interests involve the neuromuscular system, including biomechanics. Emily is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, and after completing her PhD hopes to work in the prosthetics industry.
