Shivabasappa received her Ph.D. in Speech Language Pathology from All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, India. She was a Post-doctoral fellow in Human Abilities in Bilingual Language Acquisition (HABLA) lab at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on bilingual language development and language disorders with an emphasis on computational approaches to Language assessment and intervention in bilingual children.
