Adam Reres is a Lecturer in the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Central Florida (UCF). As a Speech-Language Pathologist, he has worked in multiple settings, including school systems, skilled nursing facilities, and home health, as well as in private practice, providing services to patients ranging in age from 10 days to 104 years. He has treated individuals across a broad spectrum of complex conditions, including those with autism spectrum disorder and late-stage dementia.
He has extensive experience working in skilled nursing facilities, where he promoted services to meet the needs of residents with neurocognitive communication deficits. He also served as a Director of Rehabilitation, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration and the effective transition of patient care across healthcare settings. In this role, he advocated for healthcare professionals, supporting their work environments and overall well-being amid evolving healthcare regulations.
He earned his Ph.D. from UCF’s School of Global Health Management and Informatics, focusing on Medicare policies, healthcare quality, and aging populations. His long-term goal is to enhance the design and implementation of payment systems to improve the delivery of therapeutic and healthcare services for vulnerable populations. Additionally, he promotes undergraduate and graduate research engagement, encouraging students to explore and develop confidence in their individual research interests.
