Ava Schwartz is a doctoral student in the School of Kinesiology & Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Central Florida. She earned her BS in Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Rochester and her MS in Movement Science at the University of Michigan. Ava works in the CNS Lab under the mentorship of Dr. Grant Norte. Her research interests include understanding the physiology underlying neuromuscular impairments after ACL injury in order to develop more targeted and effective rehabilitation. In the future, Ava hopes to conduct clinically impactful research in a university setting in addition to teaching.
