The Center for Professional and Community Education (CPCE) strives to enrich the knowledge and skills of social workers, allied helping professionals, students, alumni, and the public. The Center provides professional development and continuing education opportunities that improve the care, services, support, and advocacy provided to diverse individuals, families, groups and communities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, the CPCE is part of the School of Social Work at the University of Central Florida. The School is an approved provider of continuing education (provider #50-12347, exp. 3/31/2025) by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.
The School is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Several states accept CEUs from CSWE-accredited institutions. Professionals licensed outside of Florida are responsible for verifying and following their states’ regulations regarding continuing education credits.
Programming is done in-person or virtually (e.g., via Zoom and other platforms). When registering, please double check the format and location of the programming to ensure they fit your needs.
Most fees are refundable within four days of the start of the programming. Please contact the CPCE to discuss the possibility of a refund.
Please note that Eventbrite’s fees are nonrefundable, and the CPCE cannot refund parking fees.
