IEPRS Conference
UCF Institute of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation Science
Overview
The UCF Institute of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation Science 5th Annual Conference will be held on February 7th and 8th at the FAIRWINDS Alumni Center. This two-day event showcases cutting-edge scientific innovation in kinesiology, physical therapy, and athletic training, featuring presentations from nationally renowned speakers, including a Keynote Lecture from Dr. Marcas Bamman, a Distinguished Alumni Lecture from Dr. Adam Jajtner (Ph.D., Class of 2016), and student presentations. Attendees can earn CEUs while participating in a robust program of lectures, workshops, and research presentations. The conference provides a unique platform for students to present their work alongside experts, fostering an engaging environment of learning and discovery. Networking opportunities abound through dedicated sessions and a Friday morning IEPRS Research Lab Crawl, facilitating connections with peers and industry leaders. Participants will gain insights into the latest advancements and practical applications shaping rehabilitation and exercise science. This event is an exceptional opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and drive progress toward improving health outcomes for all. Don’t miss out on an inspiring weekend filled with innovation, education, and community building!
Each year, the IEPRS conference brings together students, researchers, clinicians, and practitioners from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds.
Highlights of the IEPRS conference include:
- Lectures from internationally recognized investigators covering topics such as exercise response variation, metabolic adaptations to exercise and diabetes, healthy aging, blood flow, youth adaptive sports, and much more.
- Pre-conference add-on event: The IEPRS Lab Crawl: Learn in our Labs! will provide attendees the opportunity to learn how our research fellows collect data. Attendees will be split into small groups and rotate through stations examining blood flow restriction training, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), tensiomyography (TMG), vertical jump assessments, and others.
- The opportunity for students to present their research! Students and trainees will be presenting research during 5 Minutes at the Mic: Show me the data! Prizes will be awarded to the best presenters.
- CEUs available for PTs, PTAs, ATs, sports nutrition, and strength and conditioning professionals.
- Discounted rates for students, postdocs, residents, and UCF alumni.
- Networking opportunities with researchers and professionals in the fields of kinesiology, athletic training, and physical therapy.
For these reasons and many more, the Institute of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation Science’s annual conference is the premier event for those wanting to take their career to the next level!
