IEPRS Conference

UCF Institute of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation Science

Overview

The Institute of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation Science is back and excited to host its fourth Annual Conference on Friday, February 2nd and Saturday, February 3rd! This year we are offering the flexibility of a hybrid event, so you can join us in-person or online. Our event will be held on-site at the beautiful FAIRWINDS Alumni Center on UCF’s main campus. All attendees will also receive videos of the lectures following the conference for additional learning at their leisure.

Each year, the IEPRS conference brings together students, researchers, clinicians, and practitioners from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds.

Highlights of the IEPRS conference include:

  • Lectures from 10 internationally recognized investigators covering topics such as metabolic flexibility, ACL reconstruction, muscle hypertrophy, cross education, and concussion, among others.
  • Pre-conference add-on event: The IEPRS Lab Crawl: Learn in our Labs! will provide attendees the opportunity to learn how our research fellows collect data. Attendees will be split into small groups and rotate through stations examining blood flow restriction training, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), tensiomyography (TMG), vertical jump assessments, and others. Note that this session will occur at the UCF Education Complex and Gym and is limited to 100 attendees as a registration add-on.
  • The opportunity for students to present their research!  Students and trainees will be presenting research during 5 Minutes at the Mic: Show me the data! Prizes will be awarded to the best presenters.
  • CEUs available for PTs, PTAs, ATs, sports nutrition, and strength and conditioning professionals.
  • Discounted rates for students, postdocs, and UCF alumni.
  • Networking opportunities with researchers and professionals in the fields of kinesiology, athletic training, and physical therapy.
  • Video recordings of lectures following the conference.

For these reasons and many more, the Institute of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation Science’s fourth annual conference is the premier event for those wanting to take their career to the next level!
