In the 15-year history of the UCF DPT program, nine (9) of the sixteen (16) graduating classes have achieved 100 percent first-attempt pass rate on the National Physical Therapy Examination.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Since its first cohort at the doctoral level in 2010, the UCF Doctor of Physical Therapy Program\u2019s licensure pass rates and test scores have exceeded the national averages<\/strong>. From the classes of 2020-2025, UCF DPT graduates’ first attempt pass rates averaged 11.3% greater than the national average. \nA formal complaint against a physical therapy program with CAPTE can be submitted if it is believed a program is not in compliance with CAPTE Standards and Required Elements or if CAPTE expectations related to academic integrity have been violated. Additional requirements for licensure in all states include passage of the National Physical Therapy Examination administrated by the\u00a0Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT)<\/a>. Also, additional requirements can vary by state. Often, states require the administrator for the CAPTE-accredited program from which a student graduates to certify the student\u2019s successful completion of that program.<\/p>\n

Depending upon the state, candidates for licensure may also be required to demonstrate successful completion of the state jurisdiction\u2019s juris prudence examination.
