Jeff Duke is a leading expert regarding the cultural influence in the sport coaching profession on society’s mores. He has developed and authored the “3 Dimensional Coaching” curriculum that has revolutionized the sport coaching landscape. His methodology allows coaches to discover a style that produces the ultimate athlete performance. He titles his workshop, “How to Capture the Body, Mind and Spirit of the 21st Century Athlete”.
Duke has coached five different sports and directly supervised 200+ coaches in 17 different sports. His coaching experience encompasses the youth level through the professional ranks, coupled with a multi-year stint with the legendary football coach, Bobby Bowden. He is highly sought after to lead workshops, seminars, and training on the “cultural influence of the sport coach”. Duke spent 10 years developing an international expertise on elite coaching education. This includes extensive travels throughout Europe and the Americas. His doctoral research (Florida State University) created baseline data on how to analyze proficient elite level coaching methods.
Today, you will find Duke serving as the coaching specialist/ lecturer program at the University of Central Florida, Coaches ministry development for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Founder & President of the 3D Institute. He travels extensively throughout the United States and worldwide, leading and facilitating workshops within the sport coaching culture on creating generational legacy through the significant influence of the coach.
Throughout his career, Duke has also developed an expertise in the area of facility development including professional staffing and operational structure. As of this date, he has collaborated as project manager and senior consultant for a wide array of sport construction projects. These projects include new construction, renovation, and/ or Olympic training venues of 23 different sports, i.e., archery, badminton, baseball, diving, equestrian, football, table tennis, taekwondo, track & field, soccer, softball, swimming, synchronized swimming, triathlon, volleyball and weight lifting.
Duke has been married for 40 years to his wife Dana, and is a proud father of four sons (Bo, Cameron, Matt & Mark). He enjoys many outdoor and recreational pursuits and his university classes are taught with this same fervor and passion. Duke creates a collaborating learning environment of student engagement, industry experience and qualitative research.
