Student Organizations

Two student organizations are associated with UCF’s Athletic Training Program.

Student Athletic Training Organization (SATO) is a student-run organization open to all students interested in the athletic training profession. Students can join SATO even if they are not in the program. For more information about SATO, please contact Instructor Carlos Gual at, faculty advisor for the organization.

Iota Tau Alpha is the national honor society for athletic training. The honor society promotes and encourages scholarly activity in athletic training with recognition for outstanding achievement. Students must be in the program for at least two semesters before they are eligible for membership. For more information about Iota Tau Alpha, please contact Program Director Kristen Schellhase at, faculty advisor for the UCF chapter.
