The field of health informatics is the crossroads of healthcare and technology, aimed to improve the delivery of care to patients. Those with interest in computer science, data management and healthcare often find the degree to be a good fit, where they learn to solve health problems through the data and the use of the technology. The Health Informatics BS program addresses the growing demand for health informatics professionals by offering innovative education tailored to the needs of the healthcare industry.<\/p>\n<p>With a projected job growth rate of 22% in Florida and an average annual salary of $80,730, health informaticists work to manage health information securely and efficiently. SGHMI\u2019s new program will prepare graduates to excel in this dynamic field in Florida and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Distinct from our existing Health Information Management (HIM) program,\u00a0<span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">which focuses on the people and processes around health data<\/span>, the Health Informatics degree emphasizes the development, maintenance, and appropriate use of health data and technology.<\/p>\n<div class=\"subheader\"><strong>Location<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>In-person classes for the Health Informatics BS program take place at UCF Downtown, in downtown Orlando.
