The curriculum provides students with a solid educational background encompassing required core science courses and application-oriented courses that provide a strong foundation for advanced degree programs in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, occupational therapy, public health and others. Full-time students who transfer with an AA degree from a Florida public state college or university complete the degree in an average of two to three years. Upon graduation, students are conferred a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Can I take any courses online?” tab_id=”1539103019857-38bb5a5a-d96d”][vc_column_text]Most courses are offered face-to-face; however, some courses have both face-to-face and online versions. Students are welcome to schedule an appointment with a Department of Health Sciences academic advisor to explore their career and graduate school options. Students also may meet with the offices of\u00a0Pre-Health and Pre-Law Advising<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0Career Services<\/a>\u00a0for advising related to health professions in career exploration and graduate school requirements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Does UCF have a graduate program in occupational therapy or physician assistant that I can pursue after I complete this degree?” tab_id=”1539103256899-1b165fb8-3c38″][vc_column_text]UCF does not offer a program in occupational therapy or physician assistant; however, the curriculum for the Health Sciences major includes pre-requisite courses needed for entrance into these programs.
